Lights, cameras, action: Selby Auditorium serves as site for Florida Lottery commercial

Selby Auditorium has been the site of many classes, presentations, events, and even a movie in the past, and now it can add a commercial set to its list. This fall, Method Laboratories, hired by the Florida Lottery, scouted numerous university locations around the state to film a commercial for the Lottery’s Cash Pop One-Number Wonder promotion. But it was Saint Leo University’s Selby Auditorium that stood apart from the rest.

Since the commercial’s storyline involves a professor working on a complex math problem, they were particularly impressed by Selby’s traditional college auditorium look. The green wall color also was the perfect fit for the Florida Lottery color scheme. The commercial took one full night to complete and the Method Laboratories team on set was thankful for how accommodating our staff was during their time on campus.
