Key West Center aiding Holiday Helpers of the Florida Keys with adopt-a-family

The Key West Education Center is teaming with Wesley House Family Services as part of the Holiday Helpers of the Florida Keys this year to bring joy and to help those in need for Christmas 2021.

Saint Leo is helping with the adopt-a-family project and students, faculty, and staff may choose from 30 Christmas ornaments that include the age of the child and whether the child is male or female. Wesley House is asking for a new, unwrapped toy (age-appropriate) to be dropped off at the Key West Education Center at Naval Air Station Key West, A-718 Essex Circle, Key West, FL 33040. The items will be personally delivered to four nonprofit organizations around Key West.

Students, faculty, and staff are asked to donate if they are able this holiday season. Those who are on base can pick up an ornament and return the unwrapped toy by Wednesday, December 1.

For more information, email Jeff Hite, interim Key West Education Center director, jeffrey.hite@saintleo.edu or (305) 293-2847. He also may be reached at Ext. 3621.
