Resume Day and career fairs offered for students and alumni this month

This October, Career Services will be hosting a pair of exciting career fairs. Please share these career fair opportunities with students and alumni, and encourage them to sign up.

Students can book a spot to have their resume reviewed on Resume Day, Wednesday, October 13 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.. Time slots are limited, so students are encouraged to schedule their appointment today via Handshake!

  • Business Career Fair: Wednesday, October 20 from 1-4 p.m. will include employer partners from various fields and regions. Blueleadz (marketing strategist position), Bodine Perry (spring accounting internships), Enterprise Holdings (management trainees), and SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment (various roles at Busch Gardens Tampa) are just some of the opportunities available. Students from all majors are welcome and encouraged to register early.
  • Government/ Nonprofit Career Fair: Wednesday, October 27 from 1-4 p.m. Federal government agencies and nonprofits with a strong focus on public good will be looking to hire Saint Leo students and alumni. One of our employer partners at this fair might connect with our students’ personal values and professional goals! Federal Highway Administration, Florida Department of Children and Families, U.S. Customs, and Habitat for Humanity are just a few of our featured employers. The opportunities offered at this fair will be a combination of volunteer and paid jobs and internships.

Leading up to the fair dates, students can expect personalized newsletters by email with career fair tips and advice from leading professionals in job seeking. Please guide them to any of the Career Services social media pages all month for interview and fair success resources.

Students can register for the fairs and events on Handshake. If you’re a staff member who would like to request a Handshake account, please email careerservices@saintleo.edu with your name, department, and Saint Leo University ID. If you have additional questions, please reach out to Career Services by email or (352) 588-8346.
