Graduate human services program hosts healthy brain development, resiliency webinar

Saint Leo University’s graduate human services administration program and The Centers, with locations in Ocala and Lecanto, FL,  will present a webinar looking at healthy brain development and resiliency. This free, online seminar  will be held 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, October 9, and free Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available at no additional charge.

Faculty and staff are asked to invite guests to join this webinar that will bring together leaders in the community to discuss essential components of crisis management, including current experiences with COVID-19. It will provide practical applications to treatment engagement during a crisis and start the discussion about making the shift from trauma-informed to trauma healing and resiliency.

Seminar discussion topics include:

  • Current research in resilience;
  • Relationship between resilience and a healthy brain; and, 
  • Dr. Daniel Siegel and Dr. David Rock’s Mind Platter as a best practice in healthy brain development.
