Paws of Love donates to Pasco animal shelter during break

Saint Leo University’s Paws of Love, a nonprofit organization that supports sheltered, rescued, and service animals, delivered items to help Pasco County Animal Services in Land O’ Lakes, FL, during the Christmas break.

Paws of Love completes its mission through fundraising, volunteering, and creating pet toys and cat tree out of recycled materials. The organization also produces pet treats.

On December 17, organizer Heidi D’Ambrosio, executive assistant to the vice president of Student Affairs, took a group of eight students to deliver items to the Pasco County animal shelter. The group delivered cat trees as well as 75 bags of dog treats, some of which were made during Saint Leo’s Veterans Day of Service on November 11.

The students got to give a cat tree to a family that is fostering a cat from the shelter, and wish the family “Merry Christmas!”
