Saint Leo community invited to march in St. Patrick’s Day parades

Saint Leo University will once again serve as a sponsor of the NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade and participate in the Savannah St. Patrick’s Day in Georgia. These two popular events attract hundreds of people each year, making the parades a great opportunity to generate awareness for Saint Leo.

Faculty, staff, students, and alumni are invited to be a part of a group that will march in the parades. Plan a weekend getaway to one of these great cities and help represent your university. To attend, register online at https://your.saintleo.edu/parade by March 11.

New York Parade
The NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade is set for Saturday, March 16. A pre-parade reception will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Residence Inn Time Square (1033 Avenue of the Americas). The university’s line formation time will be at 12:10 p.m. Attendees will need to meet for the line formation on West 45th Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues. Our place is after the Friends of Ireland, Northwell Health Lenox Hill Hospital and ahead of Grand Council of United Emerald Societies. The parade route is along Fifth Avenue, between 44th Street and 79th Street.

Savannah Parade
The Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade will start at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 16. The parade route begins near Forsyth Park and winds through historic Savannah.
