UTS announces new planned IT maintenance schedule

Effective immediately, University Technology Services will begin performing planned information technology maintenance on a standardized schedule on Tuesday nights from 8 p.m. – midnight EST (Exception: block out dates).

Although every Tuesday is scheduled, maintenance is not expected to occur that frequently. UTS will strive for twice a month update cycles that are less invasive and will adhere to all university provided block-out dates. UTS will also remain sensitive to the impact on course schedules and events, adjusting scheduled maintenance accordingly. Unplanned maintenance will continue to be performed as required to restore failing or failed services.

During IT maintenance windows, UTS will conduct maintenance on university systems and services including: application services, server services, network services, classroom technology services, and computing services.

Planned and unplanned IT maintenance may require service disruptions or downtime. UTS will continue to provide communications via Community.Saintleo.edu in advance of all maintenance, regardless of impact to the university community.
