“Trial of the Century” set for November 3 and 4

This semester, students and faculty in several disciplines have come together for an Alternate Reality Learning Experience (ARLE) in the form of a mock trial.

This simulation involves a fictitious trial of Lee Harvey Oswald, with students portraying FBI, CIA, and Secret Service agents, news reporters, attorneys, international government witnesses, and the jury. The ARLE allows students to experience a crime investigation from an insider’s perspective.

For years, conspiracy theories have abounded, but on Friday, November 3, and Saturday, November 4, Saint Leo students will hear the evidence and decide once and for all if Oswald really did murder President John F. Kennedy.

Everyone is invited to Selby Auditorium in Lewis Hall at 5 p.m. on Friday, November 3, for jury selection (voir dire), and 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, for opening statements in the trial. The verdict is to be read at 4 p.m. For those not on campus, the trial will be streamed online.
