University Campus drinking water supply passes routine test
Saint Leo University’s drinking water supply at University Campus has passed a Florida Department of Environmental Protection inspection that measures possible levels of contamination from a common variety of sources, such as salts, minerals, and microbes. The university’s water system was monitored throughout 2016. Saint Leo’s water contained no substances that exceeded safety levels set by regulators. Drinking water, including bottled water, can reasonably be expected to contain at least some level of other substances. The University Campus drinking supply comes from three groundwater wells drawing from the Floridan Aquifer and is chlorinated for disinfection.
The drinking water at University Campus is tested routinely, and the university reports the results in compliance with government regulations. The full report is available online.
