Saint Leo receives $15,000 grant from the Taco Bell Foundation

WHAT
Saint Leo University was recently awarded a $15,000 community grant from the Taco Bell Foundation. This makes the university one of the 450 youth-serving organizations that will receive a portion of $15 million in community grants presented by the foundation this year.

WHY
Each year Taco Bell awards community grants to organizations and programs that educate and inspire our next generation of leaders. Since 1992, the Taco Bell Foundation has reached more than 5 million young people across the country and has awarded more than $150 million in grants and scholarships, focused on education and career readiness.

Saint Leo received the grant after being nominated by Saint Leo University Board of Trustee Member Jody Luihn ’83.

IMPACT
The university’s $15,000 grant will help support students overcome barriers to education and will assist with their overall persistence and success. The Retention Task Force will identify and implement high impact programs in areas such as financial literacy, getting connected to university services, advising, and career readiness.
