Creative Writing Residency invites public to readings

The Master of Arts in Creative Writing Residency program invites the university community and public to listen to readings from Saint Leo faculty and visiting writers. The free events will be held from July 15-21, at University Campus in the Black Box Theatre in Benedictine Hall.

The Master of Arts in Creative Writing Residency is an eight-day program that offers an immersive and contemplative retreat for developing writers. The daily schedule includes a workshop where a faculty mentor leads small groups of students in discussing their own creative work. Each evening will feature one of our creative writing faculty or visiting writers performing a reading from their body of work.

A schedule of evening readings is listed below. Saint Leo University faculty will include Anne Barngrover, Gianna Russo, John David Harding, Vedran Husić, and Brooke N. King. The program will welcome visiting writers Benjamin Busch, winner of the Debut-litzer Prize and GLCA Award for Creative Nonfiction for his memoir, Dust to Dust, and Michelle Falkoff, author of Playlist for the Dead, an NPR Great Read of 2015.
