Next Social Impact Roundtable set for June 8

Saint Leo University is inviting area innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, and members of the university community to attend an engaging discussion on the topics of social and economic impact. The Social Impact Roundtable will be held from 4 to 5 p.m., on Wednesday, June 8, online via Zoom.

Social entrepreneurism is a strategy practiced by both for-profit and nonprofit innovators to develop mission-driven ventures, products and services, and solutions with the goal of having a positive measurable impact on society. Those who are successful in applying the principles of social entrepreneurship often find ingenious ways of balancing “mission and margin” so that they can employ financially sustainable ways to support the greater good.

The roundtable discussion will include opening remarks from a guest igniter, followed by a roundtable discussion on the topics of social and economic impact.

The Social Impact Roundtable is hosted by Saint Leo University in partnership with many area organizations, including Basil Data, the Hillsborough County Entrepreneur Collaborative Center, the Indo-U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Institute for Economic Evolution, Florida for Good, the Nonprofit Collaborative, One Work, SmartStart Pasco Enterprise Network, and the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council.

The Social Impact Roundtables are free and open to all but reservations are required to attend as space is limited. To register, visit saintleo.edu/impact-roundtable.
