Compliance training: April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month

During the month of April, the university’s compliance training will focus on learning more about the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and the Clery Act, along with Vulnerable Persons. All employees have been assigned VAWA and Clery, and Vulnerable Persons training, which can be accessed through Workday Learning. Please complete these courses at your leisure by April 30. 

To supplement this series of courses, Learning and Development is offering live sessions with our project director for VAWA, and a faculty member from the College of Education and Social Services Graduate Social Work program.

How the Clery Act changed Colleges and Universities
Tuesday, April 5, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
During this session we will discuss the impact Clery had on campus life, along with the importance of Clery reporting. Register Here »

How VAWA changed attitudes about domestic violence, and how those changes influence prevention and resources

This session addresses how VAWA shifted attitudes about domestic violence, and how those changes influence the programs and resources available today. Register Here »

Key Facts about Vulnerable Persons 
April 27, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. 
This session will review some key facts about Vulnerable Persons, along with when and how to report.  Register Here »
