Men’s tennis captures SSC Tournament championship

On the heels of winning the program’s first Sunshine State Conference regular season championship, the Saint Leo men’s tennis team captured the 2016 SSC Tournament crown with a 5-0 win over Lynn University. Read the complete release.

Women’s tennis earned the No. 1 seed for the SSC Tournament, before falling in the semifinals to their rival Barry University.
Saint Leo men’s lacrosse earned the No. 3 seed for the SSC Tournament, and dropped an overtime heartbreaker to Rollins College, 10-9.

Women’s golf tabbed for NCAA South Super Regional

Saint Leo women’s golf will be making its sixth appearance in the NCAA tournament after it was one of 12 selections for the NCAA South Super Regional, which opens play Monday, May 2, in Pensacola, FL. The 54-hole tournament runs through Wednesday, with the top three teams advancing to the NCAA national championship. Read the complete release.

Lions named to All-SSC teams men’s and women’s teams in lacrosse and golf

A host of Saint Leo student-athletes were recognized by the SSC’s head coaches with selection to the All-Sunshine State Conference teams.
Women’s lacrosse junior Kelsey Burns was tabbed as a Second Team All-SSC selection.
Seven members of the men’s lacrosse team earned SSC honors, including first team selections Dylan Yonts, Chad Marino, and Jake Gilmour.
Saint Leo men’s golf had three representatives on the All-SSC squads: Liam Ainsworth, Hugo Bernard, and Joey Savoie.
Junior Marie Coors was a First Team All-SSC selection in women’s golf, and was named the conference’s Co-Player of the Year.

Rampf hits NCAA automatic qualifying mark in 3000-meter steeplechase

Sophomore Colett Rampf earned an automatic selection to the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championship, after finishing second in the 3000-meter Steeplechase at the 122nd Penn Relay Carnival in Philadelphia. Read the complete release.

Two Saint Leo athletes earn SSC weekly honors

Saint Leo freshman Justin Robinson earned SSC Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring the game-winning goal in the Lions’ double-overtime win over Florida Southern, while men’s tennis senior Egor Panyushkin helped the Lions defeat Embry-Riddle and Palm Beach Atlantic and was named SSC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week.

Summer camp and showcase dates announced for baseball and volleyball

Saint Leo offers a broad range of camps and clinics not just in the summer, but throughout the year! Volleyball, basketball, and baseball announced the dates of their upcoming camps and showcases:
Baseball’s spring showcase will be coming up on May 7, 2016.
Volleyball announced its full slate of camps for summer 2016.
MBB head coach Vince Alexander announced the dates for his inaugural camps at Saint Leo.
