March 22 program to feature Women in Emergency Management

WHAT
In honor of Women’s History Month at Saint Leo University, the Office of Military Affairs & Services and WorldWide Student Life will present Conversations About Success Beyond Service: Women in Emergency Management at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, via Zoom.

Join us as we welcome emergency management specialist for the Pentagon and Air Force veteran Kirsten Berling.

Berling will share career-path stories, as well as how her military experience prepared her for her current position at the Pentagon. She also will talk about the women trailblazers she has admired along the way and what it meant to have them pave the way in leadership.

  • What challenges are women facing today in the workforce?
  • What advice can we give women looking to advance in their careers?
  • What can we do to attract more women to the emergency management workforce?

Join us from wherever you are! Berling also will share general advice for our veteran and military-affiliated students who are looking for employment in the emergency management field.

This program provides a network for the military-connected community at Saint Leo University. However, all students, alumni, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend.
