Saint Leo World Campus sees successful start

After successfully enrolling 64 students for the Spring 2 Term, Saint Leo University’s new World Campus program is off to a great start. World Campus provides students living in Latin America with the opportunity to obtain a Saint Leo University degree in Spanish. The entire learning experience, from admissions to course materials, are translated in Spanish.

When the program first launched in November, the university in collaboration with partner AVENU Learning, began accepting enrollments for eight undergraduate degree programs. Psychology, followed by computer information systems and management, had the highest enrollments among the inaugural class. Eighty-five percent of students for the Spring 2 Term came from one of four countries: Mexico, Columbia, Peru, and Chile.

Now with the semester wrapping up, recruitment is underway for Summer 1. As of April 12, the Summer 1 headcount was up to nearly 100 new students.

The university plans to continue building upon the early success of the World Campus by launching three graduate degree programs for the Fall 1 Term.
