Virtual recruiting fair planned for May 14 for law enforcement, public safety career-seekers

Faculty and staff are asked to tell students about the upcoming Virtual Criminal Justice Recruiting Fair to be held 5 – 7 p.m., Thursday, May 14. Sponsored by the departments of Criminal Justice and Public Safety Administration, this online event is open to all criminal justice students and recent graduates; those interested in working in law enforcement, in government, or for related agencies; those interested in law school; and others eager to make connections, network with agencies, and enjoy a personal development opportunity.

Saint Leo students can register in Handshake to access the Zoom event link. Those who are not Saint Leo students can register here to receive the Zoom link.

The department sponsors encourage participants to conduct research on the participating agencies and organizations prior to the event and come ready to connect with recruiters. To make the best use of this opportunity, participants should also attend the “Résumé  Writing for Criminal Justice” webinar at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, with Dr. Karin May, or make an appointment with Career Services. Faculty and staff will discuss with students ways they can share their stories with agency recruiters and plan career paths.
