Seminar series helps leaders go from ‘satisfactory’ to ‘great’

Saint Leo University’s Department of Public Safety Administration has partnered with FIRST (Florida’s Forensic Institute for Research, Security, and Tactics) to present a Leadership Seminar Series on Friday, November 8. This event is open to the public. 

Leaders of all levels can become great leaders. Participants can learn how to expand their capabilities to increase their team’s effectiveness and positive culture from Lieutenant General David Fridovich. He is a retired Special Forces officer and former deputy commanding general of the U.S. Special Operations Command, who has received numerous U.S. Joint Special Operations and Army awards. 

Fridovich will discuss his philosophies of leadership based on learned experiences as a senior military officer. There will be two presentations on Friday, November 8: 9 – 11:30 a.m. or 1 – 2:30 p.m. Both will take place in TECO Hall in the College of Business building at University Campus. Registration is required.

 

 

Topics include:

  • Basics of leadership;
  • Promoting a positive leadership culture;
  • Tips for being a good leader; and, 
  • Increasing organizational effectiveness through proper leader delineation.

Cost per session is $50, payable by check or money order made out to Pasco County Sheriff’s Office – FIRST.
