All invited to The Contrast at Blackbox Theatre

The Saint Leo Blackbox Theatre,  located on the ground floor of Benedictine Hall, kicks off its 2019-2020 season with The Contrast, an American play written by Royall Tyler. Tyler was a Revolutionary War veteran, and when he wrote The Contrast in 1787, he explored what it meant to be an American in the years just following the fight for independence. His hilarious comedy of manners still asks pertinent questions today: Are money, fame, and image more important than the ideals of the American dream? Filled with hillbillies and fashionistas, the show will keep you rolling with laughter and will leave you feeling a little prouder of the country we love.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and and Saturdays, while Sunday matinees are at 2:30 p.m. Performances will be October 18, 19, and 20; and October 25, 26, and 27.

To reserve a seat, email StLeoTheatre@saintleo.edu. Admission is free with a $10 suggested donation.
