Saint Leo celebrates a memorable homecoming weekend

Alumni and guests from 24 states and Canada came to University Campus for homecoming weekend, November 1 – 4.

The weekend kicked off Friday evening with the Beer and Wine Campus Tour, a special 50th Reunion Dinner for the Class of 1968, and dinner for Saint Leo College Prep and Holy Name Academy graduates.

On Saturday, attendees enjoyed brunch with President Jeff Senese, who spent some time in front of a packed room talking about the future of our great university.

“You should feel at home whenever you are here,” President Senese shared with attendees.

During the brunch, six alumni were given awards in recognition of their accomplishments. Congratulations to the following alumni:

  • Roaring Onward Recognition: Caleb Fuddy ’13, Frank Carillo ’11, Jocelyn Morales ’16, Joshua Paul ’09
  • Benedictine Spirit Award: Valerie Crane ’62
  • Distinguished Alumni Award: Dr. Brandon Brooks ’11

Later that afternoon, everyone enjoyed the crisp fall weather for the Lions Tailgate, which included live music, games and activities, and fireworks.

During the men’s basketball game, the homecoming king and queen were crowned. Congratulations to Montre Hall and Nadia Crawford, Saint Leo’s 2018 Homecoming king and queen.

The weekend wrapped up with Mass on Sunday, followed by brunch.
