Softball captures SSC title for second consecutive year
Saint Leo softball took two out of three games from Rollins College over the weekend, and got the assist it needed from Florida Southern College, and clinched the 2017 Sunshine State Conference Championship. The SSC title is the second-in-a-row for the Lions, who receive the conference’s automatic qualifier to the 2017 NCAA Division II Softball Championship.
Saint Leo softball invites members of the campus community to join the players and coaches in the lobby of the Student Community Center on Monday, May 8, at 10 a.m. when the NCAA Division II Softball Championship bracket is unveiled and the team learns its opponents in the NCAA South Regional. Men’s lacrosse places nine on All-SSC teams
Saint Leo men’s lacrosse had nine student-athletes earn Sunshine State Conference post-season honors when the league’s All-Conference teams were announced last Thursday. Leading the way was defenseman Jake Bye, who was the Lions’ lone First Team honoree. Read the complete release

Three from men’s tennis earn All-SSC honors
Saint Leo men’s tennis athletes Thomas Grinberg, Jaime Bueno, and Vincent Suillerot were named to the All-Sunshine State Conference teams last Friday. Bueno is a repeat selection while Grinberg and Suillerot were first time honorees. Read the complete release
Women’s basketball announces three signees for 2017-2018 roster
Saint Leo women’s basketball has announced the addition of three new players to the roster for the 2017-18 season. Joining the Lions will be Alani Gallagher (Vestal, NY), Savannah Scott (Sound Bend, IN), and Dashaun Jackson (Miramar, FL). Read the complete release
