Hispanic Heritage celebration to take place September 27

The Department of Language Studies and the Arts and the Spanish Club will present A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, in the Student Community Center boardrooms.

Students are encouraged to come and go as their schedule allows. Engaging activities take place throughout the day, including:

  • 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.: Presentation by Dr. Adriana Novoa, “The Science of Immigration in the United States”
  • 2:15-3:15 p.m.: Classical guitarist Daniel Girón

There will fun activities and a poster session all day. ¡Los Esperamos!

Students should pick up their activity sheets at the door and verify them on the way out as proof of their attendance.

The Dining Hall will serve a special cultural meal in honor of Hispanic Heritage celebration.
